List of documents for Employment certificate in Sikkim

1]  An Application to the Block Development officer requesting for the employment certificate which states your highest qualification ,Sikkim citizen and that you are unemployed till date.

2]  Sanitation Certification. An important certificate that specifies the toilet and clean drinking water.

3]  COI/SSC of an applicant.

4]  Birth Certificate.

5]  Voter ID.

6]  Unmarried Certificate for the women.

7]  Marksheet and passcertificate.

8]  Passphoto -3 (Copies)

Guide on  what to do next?

Step1:  Go to your nearest Gram Sabha/Panchayat house or municipal.

Step2:  Ask for  Noc form for employment card

Step3:  The Noc form requires the signature of atleast 4 panchayats/ward communities

Also Ask the panchayat for forwarding of the application to the BDO(Block Development Officer).

Step4:  Go to the nearest Sikkim bank for BR.Pay 100 rs to the govt.

Step5:  Now head over to the Block development Center.Submit the application and the copy of all your documents listed above.

Step6:  Once the BDO verifies your document.You get your Employment Certificate.

The employment card is an important card to get any govt job in Sikkim and the validity of an employment card is 6 months.After the period is over you can renew it.
