If you have never heard of DOTA 2 it is a very popular esports it is among the most complex esports with biggest prize money in all of esports and among the hardest games to learn.
It is said that DOTA can be described as a combination of chess and football, since it requires lots of strategy and thinking a step ahead of your opponent and a lot of running around the map. The community I would say is very strong and toxic which is a very odd combination.
In this article I want to talk about DOTA 2 community in Sikkim. I learned about the game and played with my friends in my college which I think is the case for a lot of people especially in Technical College.
I had few friends from Nagaland who played the game and even if they were a small community they organised tournaments at their state.
This is not in case in our state the game is played by very small amount of people in Gangtok and most people play solo. I could only trace one team i.e. Rage Gaming Sikkim that participated in ESL 2016.
